Changes proposed for Roosevelt, open house Monday

SDOT’s proposed changes for Roosevelt between NE 75th and NE 115th will add a dedicated bike lane for uphill stretches (sharrows for the rest) and a crosswalk. The plans also include the removal of parking on the west side of Roosevelt for ten blocks between 75th and 85th.

There will be an open house Monday evening to take comments and answer questions.

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is holding an open house regarding improvements planned for Roosevelt Way NE between NE 75th and NE 115th streets. The changes are designed to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety while maintaining the same number of lanes and the same capacity for motor vehicles traveling on the street.
