DIY bike lanes in Gudalajara (video)

I linked to this video on Twitter a few days ago, but I’ve received so much positive feedback from people who watched it I thought I’d go ahead and make it the MLK Day video. This group of Gudalajara transportation activists (enlace en Español) were tired of waiting for the government to get their act together and make a decent bike lane, so they made one themselves.

Looks like they used some pretty modern markings, too. Everything from colored lanes to bike boxes to dashed markings through intersections. Also, the painting machine is at least partly bike-powered, which is another level of rad.
