My main experience with these “swaps” being from my childhood on the east-coast, I must say I was a bit disappointed.
I wasn’t really interested in high-end accessories for gear-heads sold by vendors, but that’s mainly what this is.
I was looking for what the name implied – folks trying to get rid of an old bike they no longer use or had upgraded away from. There was none of that.
Are there any true swaps around, or am I relegated to craigslist for such things?
I lived in Philly for a long time, and the T-town swap was fantastic. I am now in Portland, and I have come up a few times to the Seattle swap, and it’s never dissapointed me.
