The family and friends of Sally Eustice are in mourning after Sally was struck and killed on a bike ride near Walla Walla in the early morning of May 21. She was in Eastern Washington to attend her nephew’s college graduation.
“She was a warm, beautiful woman, known for her kindliness and her generosity,” her husband Howard Eustice told the Seattle Times. Sally worked at Heartwood, Inc, located near South Park. Howard is the president of the company.
Details of a memorial service will be posted on the Heartwood website when they become available.
The incident is under investigation, but the Times reports that she was “struck from behind on a country road shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday by an SUV driven by Melvin Bohleen, of Dayton, Columbia County.”
Condolences to her family and friends.
