Weekend Highlight: ArtCrank showcases Seattle bike-inspired posters

ARTCRANK- SEA show posterThe popular nation-touring ArtCrank is heading to Seattle for the first time Saturday.

Showcasing bike-inspired, handmade posters by local artists, ArtCrank started in 2007 in Minneapolis. Since then, the show has toured cities across the nation, but this is their first stop in Seattle.

The show will be open from 4-11 p.m. at Sodo’s Piranha Shop.

Oh, also, the proceeds from beer sales go to Bike Works. That alone is reason enough to go.

Details from the event listing:

ARTCRANK Seattle is set for Saturday, June 29 at The Piranha Shop in SoDo!

Our first-ever Emerald City show will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by Seattle artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters will be available for $40 each. Admission is free.

We’ll be working with Widmer Brothers Brewing, Clif Bar and Neenah Paper to celebrate bikes and local artists, and support Seattle’s very own Bike Works.
