Everyone wants to tour WA by bike, guide book blows past funding goal a week early

a38b170a852579fe85c7aa16cd2a314f_largeWith a whole week left, Cycling Sojourner Washington has already reached its $10,000 fundraising goal. Sounds like there really is a ton of interest in bike touring our state.

Complete with quality maps, options for sleep (whether you like to camp or put up cash for a room) and more, the bike touring guide book by Ellee Thalheimer will share ideas and reviews of of a bunch of different multi-day bike tour ideas in all corners of the state.

We wrote about Cycling Sojourner less than a month ago when the Kickstarter launched. But you haven’t missed your chance to score a copy or more. With a full week left to raise the funds, Thalheimer and her backers at the Bicycle Alliance of Washington are pushing to hit $14,000, promising more coverage of day-trip-worthy trails in Washington.

More details from the Kickstarter page:

The enthusiasm for Cycling Sojourner Washington absolutely ROCKS! Together we reached our goal of $10,000 with 8 days to go in the campaign.

We’re thrilled with the support and our authors couldn’t be happier knowing how many appreciative readers are lined up waiting for the results of all their hard work (and fun).

You’ve inspired us to set a STRETCH GOAL OF $14,000 that will let us do great things in the book. We’ll show off the incredible riding in the Evergreen State by highlighting some of the great trails that are worth a day trip of their own or that can be added onto some of our tours. We know you’ll help us get there–you already helped us get this far!
