City releases bike plan options for NE 65th Street + Is a compromise possible?

The mayor sent an email to neighbors of NE 65th Street to give them an update on the city’s research into which option should be included in the Bicycle Master Plan. SDOT came up with four options and created an online survey so people can vote on their preferred option. You can see these options…

Murray calls Burke-Gilman Trail a ‘treasure,’ hopes for a safe completion of the Ballard Missing Link

Ed Murray’s campaign issued a statement today saying that his comments to the Seattle Times’ Jonathan Martin came off as “overly skeptical” of the city’s plans to complete the Burke-Gilman Trail’s notorious “Missing Link” in Ballard. The Cedar River Trail in East Renton Highlands has reopened

Just in from King County Parks: The half-mile section of the trail just south of the Cedar Grove Natural Area in East Renton Highlands was closed in early July due to erosion control work. Biking Bis reported on the closure and created this map showing the work area:

Bellevue will celebrate new West Lake Sammamish Parkway trail Thursday
