It’s time for the Bike News Roundup! Here’s a look at some of the stuff floating around the Internet recently that caught our eyes.
First up, these two guys spent a couple years going to every Seattle park, often by bike. They created a book about it called Reasons to Go Outside. Here’s the promo video:

Linnea Westerlind already did this. (visited all of Seattle Parks) and wrote a blog about it.
http://www.yearofseattleparks.com/
Marge, we never claimed to be the only ones to accomplish the feat. We discovered Linnea’s blog halfway through our project and were pleased to know someone else was enjoying all the parks. Our projects produced two very different results that work well in conjunction with each other. It wasn’t a race.
-On one hand, I’m disappointed that there wasn’t a significant penalty for the assault with a deadly weapon incident.
-On the other hand, good that she lost her license!
-Wait… for one year? If this person has used a vehicle to assault someone, WHY should she ever be permitted to legally drive again? That simply makes no sense.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder how often people are convicted of assault with deadly weapon and NOT given jail time. I have to think it’s an extremely small chance.
And of those super-lucky minority, how many used cars?
Cars: the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free murder/attempted murder weapon!
Re Granite City man: Add in some… other bodily fluids at the scene and you’ve got a chapter of Crash…
