People with less money are more likely to get priced out of town (or at least out of the city limits).

One response to “Bike News Roundup: Some post-eclipse reading”
re: Mackinac Island “I spent 3 days on an island with no cars”
Growing up in a cycling focused family that was our summer holiday destination.
There is nothing quite like the feeling of never having to worry about the presence of vehicles. It changes your entire mentality and the attitudes of everyone around you, it’s an amazing experience and should be at the top of the bucket list for any cyclist. It would be great to have that experience in urban areas but unfortunately, as we have seen in New York, Barcelona, Berlin, and Nice pedestrian/bike only areas have now become targets for vehicular attacks.
Mackinac is probably one of the few places where that threat doesn’t exist. It would be the best place in the world to live if it wasn’t for 9 months of bitter cold!
