My wonderful spouse Kelli hauled both a tree and a kid home.
I definitely want to see your Seattle tree-by-bike photos. Tag them #SEAbikes if you post photos on social media. Or email them to me and I’ll add them to this post. [email protected]
UPDATE: Here’s reader Duncan with two kids and a tree. Love it.
And, of course, you don’t need a cargo bike to do this:
#TreeByBike has become a holiday tradition for us. We went for a seven foot Norway Spruce this year (any bigger and we would need a cargo bike!). Used the Central District #StayHealthyStreet to get it home. pic.twitter.com/xmhxnQcRc6

I have a GSD but not a fancy cargo trailer (do have a Burley trailer though). Do you think it’s feasible to tie a tree directly to the bike?
I suppose that depends on how big the tree is, but there’s pretty much always a way to make it work with enough straps :-)
Kelli also had the kid on the back, so that’s why they took the trailer.
Thanks, I’ll give it a shot. One nice thing about the QA tree lot is it’s run by boy scouts, and tying knots is basically their #1 skill, right?
Maybe you’ll get one of them a badge.
