Thursday: Bicycle Alliance and Back Alley Bike Repair celebration + Women on Wheels

And while you’re down there, Back Alley Bike Repair is celebrating their official Grand Opening in Nord Alley during the First Thursday Art Walk. They’ve been open since February 14, but now it’s official. So stop by and buy something from them (or just say hi).

And while you’re down there, the Bicycle Alliance of Washington is hosting an open house at their new Pioneer Square digs from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Like Back Alley Bike Repair, the BAW moved to Nord Alley after the closing of the Bike Port.

From the BAW:

Be sure to drop by the Bicycle Alliance’s open house this Thursday and check out our new Pioneer Square office space.  Meet the staff and members of our board, admire Bob Freeman’s display of vintage bikes, view the outdoor lighting constellation in Nord Alley, and enter a raffle!
If you’re not a Bicycle Alliance member, you’ll have an opportunity to join Thursday night and receive a Bicycle Alliance pint glass.  You can fill it with some tasty Pike IPA at the open house.
This event is part of the First Thursday artwalk and is co-hosted by our Nord Alley neighbors Feet First, International Sustainability Institute and Back Alley Bike Repair Shop.

And if that weren’t enough stuff for you to do on a Thursday, Gregg’s Greenlake Cycles is hosting it’s annual Women on Wheels night from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.. It’s free. There’s booze. There’s bikes.

I rode by, but it was packed so I didn’t stop. Glad that there is so much interest.
