Construction on First Hill Streetcar starts next week

Sound Transit is set to break ground on the First Hill Streetcar April 23. The ceremony — which begins at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Boylston — kicks off two years of construction along the $134 million streetcar line. First Hill Streetcar: A look at bike plans + open house tonight

Construction on the First Hill Streetcar is set to begin in April, putting it on track to begin operation in early 2014. Planners present more details for Broadway Bikeway

Planners presented more specifics about the proposed Broadway cycle track, which has now been dubbed the “Broadway Bikeway.” The project is part of the First Hill Streetcar, which will connect Pioneer Square and King Street Station to the under-construction Capitol Hill Link light rail station at Broadway and Denny via Jackson, Yesler and Broadway.
