Brooklyn Station meeting Wednesday + Is it time to tackle big bike access issues in the U District?

Sound Transit is holding a meeting tonight (Wednesday, sorry for the late notice) from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Neptune Theater to discuss the 60 percent design for Brooklyn Station. The plans include two station entrances (good news!), no additional car parking (yay!) and no painful fights over zoning height upgrades (yay!), says Seattle Transit Blog.…

Get your sunny Burke-Gilman kicks while you can…

‘Cause Sunday, the Burke-Gilman Trail in the U District and Wallingford will be full of Walk for MS participants. The annual event expects 5,000 people, so be prepared to take another route if you’re in the area between 10 a.m. and noon. On Sunday morning, 5,000 people will take part in the “Walk for MS.” …

Robert Townsend, killed in U District, was fastest delivery person on staff

The person killed September 10 in a collision with a car in the U District has been identified as Robert Townsend. He was 23.
